Our foremost Italian American is in love! Lady Gaga, fresh off a performance at the Paris Olympics opening ceremony and starting to roll out her seventh studio album, looks absolutely over-the-moon happy with her fiancé, entrepreneur Michael Polansky, in their red carpet debut at the Venice International Film Festival. After months of speculation, the pair finally confirmed that they are engaged, and Gaga’s smile shines almost as bright as her massive diamond ring.

In a dramatic look that reminds us of a couture Maleficent, Gaga walked the red carpet in a black, voluminous Christian Dior Haute Couture gown featuring a plunging neckline and accessorised with fabulous Tiffany diamonds and a dramatic Philip Treacy headpiece. Polansky wore a tux.

Pardon my caps…GET YOU SOMEONE WHO LOOKS AT YOU THE WAY LADY GAGA AND HER BUSINESSMAN LOOK AT EACH OTHER OMG.

The singer and actor was in town to premiere Joker: Folie à Deux, the movie musical in which she stars as Harley Quinn opposite Joaquin Phoenix’s Arthur Fleck. After meeting in a mental hospital, the two fall further into madness as they fall in love, and basically, it’s everything you don’t want in a relationship.

As a matter of fact, Gaga seemingly only confirmed her engagement because she was caught calling Polansky her fiancé in a video taken at the Olympics, but we’re kinda glad she was forced to fess up, because if this is their red carpet vibe…gimme more. (She also set the record straight about being pregnant: She’s not.)
